£48.00
What you’ll learn
- Initiation to footwork and movement
- Controlled-contact boxing and kicking basics
- How Savate differs from kickboxing
- What to expect from training and how it feels
What happens over the 4 weeks
- From the first session, beginners train with an instructor inside the main class, alongside regular members.
- During your early sessions we will work on introducing core stance, movement, and basic techniques while the main class continues as normal.
- You will gradually gain confidence to join training with the main set at the same time as you get to know them.
Who it’s for
- Adults, 20s-60s.
- Beginners or returners
- People who want skill, not circuits
What to bring
- Boots. Clean indoor sport shoes. Trainers or sports shoes are fine if they are not jagged and have been cleaned. But please don’t walk here in them. Here is some more information https://londonsavate.co.uk/savate-boots/
- Well-fitted gym clothing: avoiding zips where possible. Sports bra recommended for women. There are segregated showers and changing rooms you can use when you train.
- Water bottle for hydration.
- Optional, if you have them – not necessary on this course:
- Boxing gloves and wraps (can be borrowed)
- Gum shield.
What happens afterwards?
- Most people continue training as part of the main class once the Beginner Course finishes.
- Keep enjoying your training either on Mondays, on Thursdays, or both.
- Many students spend the following time (roughly weeks 5–12) consolidating their Foundations, building consistency, and settling into a regular training rhythm.
- From about your third month you’ll be comfortable trying controlled sparring, and we’ll be working on long-term technical and personal progression together.
