Yesterday, the UK Government published its roadmap out of lockdown.
At the moment, lockdown measures are still in force and no mixing, outdoor sport for more than one person, or contact training is permitted.
The take-away points from the roadmap for us are as follows:
- Most importantly, note that these are provisional dates and the *earliest* on which we can expect the changes. Stay optimistic, but patient and be prepared to wait longer if need be.
- The date of 17th May (Stage 3) is floated as the *earliest* on which adult outdoor non-contact sport can return.
- 21st June (Stage 4) is the *earliest* date by which social distancing will be reviewed and perhaps relaxed, so this is the earliest date by which normal training may potentially resume.
We will look at offering training opportunities in line with the regulations as and when these stages are passed.
Meanwhile, London Savate is determined to meet each date in as ready a state as possible. We will be offering a range of fitness goals, activities, and support to our members to lift spirits, get active, and be ready for anything!
