What to do with your feet:

Taking small steps. use footwork for warming up;good footwork feels like moderate pace running;keep left side in front;point toes at partner;feet comfortably beneath you (as when walking);use heels to brake;bend knees to raise heels;stand a few cm shorter than normal;flex/tense ankles somewhat.
